PVC Tarpaulin Fabric 630 g/m² Anthracite Glossy

PVC Fabric 630 g/m² Standard (Unlacquered)

PVC Fabric 630 g/m² Standard (Unlacquered)

PVC tarpaulin fabric with a density of 630 g/m² is one of the most widely used materials for manufacturing tarpaulins for trucks and passenger vehicles, protective covers, cases, curtains, and other tarpaulin structures.

The material is waterproof, UV-resistant, and offers good strength and adhesion of the PVC coating to the reinforced base. The fabric welds reliably using the RF (high-frequency) method, which is especially important for serial production of tarpaulins and sealed products.

Key advantages:

  • high tensile strength and tear resistance
  • retains flexibility at low temperatures
  • can be joined by sewing or RF welding
  • sold from 1 linear metre, by the roll, and in wholesale batches

Standard colours are always kept in stock; other shades can be sourced quickly directly from the manufacturer.

Who PVC Fabric 630 g/m² Is For

This is a working material for tarpaulin workshops, cover and tent-structure manufacturers, and transport and logistics companies. The 630 g/m² density is chosen for products that are regularly stretched, folded, transported, or used outdoors.

The fabric also suits one-off private jobs: making or repairing a trailer tarp, sewing a protective cover, or covering equipment or a household structure. Order from 1 linear metre, by the roll, or in wholesale batches.

Key Properties of PVC Fabric 630 g/m²

Tarpaulin fabric of this density combines waterproofness, strength, and enough flexibility for cutting, sewing, and high-frequency (HF) welding.

  • waterproof canvas
  • high tensile strength
  • resistance to tear propagation
  • good adhesion of the PVC coating to the base fabric
  • can be joined by sewing or HF welding
  • resistance to external factors according to the specific item's characteristics

A waterproof canvas does not automatically make the finished product hermetic: that also depends on how the seams, welds, fasteners, and fittings are handled.

Where 630 g/m² Fabric Is Used

PVC fabric 630 g/m² is used to make car tarps, protective covers, tarpaulin curtains and partitions, canopies, technical bags, and sports mats. It is also used to sew covers for cargo, equipment, generators, garden machinery, furniture, construction materials, and household structures.

PVC Fabric 440 or 630 g/m² — Which to Choose

Density affects the material's weight, thickness, and strength. The 440 g/m² fabric is lighter, so it's more often chosen for removable covers, small covers, and structures where lower weight matters. PVC fabric 630 g/m² is more often chosen for products that undergo regular mechanical loads.

Comparison based on technical data sheets:

Parameter 440 g/m² 630 g/m²
Approx. thickness0.35 mm0.54 mm
Tensile strength2000 N/5 cm2500 N/5 cm
Tear resistance120–150 N/5 cm270–300 N/5 cm
Coating adhesion40 N/5 cm90 N/5 cm
Temperature range−30…+70 °C−30…+70 °C

These figures apply to the materials whose data sheets were used for comparison. Other items and batches may differ.

Choose 630 g/m² if the tarp or cover is stretched regularly, comes into contact with cargo, is exposed to wind, or must withstand constant load. For lighter, more portable structures, lightweight PVC fabric 440 g/m² may be enough. For the most demanding conditions, consider 900 g/m² fabric.

Matte or Glossy Surface

The category includes materials with both matte and glossy surfaces. The choice depends on the product's purpose, the desired appearance, and the operating conditions.

Matte fabric reflects less light and has a more understated look. A glossy surface has a more pronounced sheen and can suit bright tarps, covers, and advertising structures.

The surface type alone does not determine the material's strength. Technical characteristics should be compared using the data sheets of specific items, as they can vary depending on the manufacturer, base fabric, PVC formulation, and treatment method.

Colours of PVC Fabric 630 g/m²

The catalogue features popular basic and decorative colours: black, anthracite matte, anthracite glossy, blue, green, brown, khaki matte, pink, purple and pistachio.

We regularly keep standard colours in stock. Actual availability, shade, surface finish, roll width, and roll length depend on the specific item and batch. These parameters can be checked on the product page or confirmed before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I order less than a full roll?+
Yes. Most items of PVC fabric 630 g/m² are sold by the cut, starting from one linear metre. Before ordering, choose a colour and check the specific canvas width, since one linear metre of fabric at 1.5 m and 2.5 m widths contains a different number of square metres.
Matte or glossy fabric — which to choose?+
Matte fabric reflects less light and looks more understated, while glossy has a more pronounced sheen. Surface type alone does not determine strength — check the technical characteristics of the specific item separately.
How is the fabric quantity calculated?+
A linear metre is a cut 1 m long across the full width of the canvas. For example, 1 linear metre of fabric that is 2.5 m wide equals 2.5 m² of material.
What is the canvas width and roll length?+
Width and roll length depend on the colour, manufacturer, and specific batch. Current parameters are stated on the relevant product page.
Is 630 g/m² fabric suitable for a pickup or trailer tarp?+
Yes, this density is commonly used for tarps on trucks, pickups, trailers, and semi-trailers. The final choice depends on the tarp's design, size, fastening method, and operating conditions.
Do you provide documents for legal entities and tenders?+
Yes, we provide an invoice and the available accompanying documents for the material. If the fabric is being purchased for a tender, send us the list of required documents and technical requirements — we will confirm whether they can be provided for the specific item.

Need help choosing a material? Tell us the product's purpose, the colour, canvas width, and quantity you need — we'll check availability and calculate the cost.
